The spring at the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI) began with a meeting with Peter Schöffel, a representative of the German glass manufacturing company Lamberts Glass. During the meeting, which was moderated by Sigita Grabliauskaitė, a lecturer at the Academy of Arts (Faculty of Arts and Education), new opportunities for cooperation between the higher education institution and the glass manufacturing company were discussed, such as the direct supply of glass raw materials from the manufacturer and the organisation of an international glass art student competition in the Baltic States. The competition would provide students with the opportunity to create unique glass works using the highest quality Lamberts glass raw materials.
