On 21 November, dozens of <\/span>various<\/span> organisations will once again gather on the premises of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (HEI), ready to establish contacts with students and offer them internships and jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aurimas Galkontas, Head of the Student Affairs and Career Unit at Kauno kolegija HEI, reveals that this year, a third of the participating organisations are new companies that will be participating in this event for the first time. As in previous years, the Internship and Career Days will not <\/span>be limited<\/span> to just a networking fair \u2013 this year <\/span>the<\/span> event will also remain in a virtual space.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the Internship and Career Days will bring together 60 <\/span>different companies and<\/span> voluntary<\/span> organisations, and new partners, according to A.<\/span> Galkontas reflects the growth of the event and the increasing interest of employers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018E<\/span>very year, this event attracts between 50 and 60 companies, and their involvement shows that employers value Kauno kolegija HEI as a reliable partner in the search for employees. This proves that the specialists trained here meet the labour market requirements and expectations of employers,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>notes the Head of the Student Affairs and Career Unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

He reveals that this <\/span>year’s<\/span> event will allow students to network with companies that offer international internship opportunities, supported by the Erasmus+ mobility programme:<\/span> \u2018<\/span>This gives students the opportunity not only to improve their professional skills but also to gain international experience and learn about other cultures<\/span>.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Another innovation of the Internship and Career Days is the participation of a co-working centre in <\/span>Kaunas<\/span> \u201c<\/span>Spie\u010diu<\/span>s\u201d.<\/span> A. Galkontas notes that this project of the Innovation Agency will help students get acquainted with modern business trends and the world of innovations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students looking for internship opportunities in the public sector will be able to meet with representatives of the Lithuanian Employment Service and the regional career centre<\/span> \u201c<\/span>Karjera<\/span>s\u201d,<\/span> who will participate for the first time. They will help to find suitable internship positions in public sector organisations \u2013 ministries, city municipal administrations, etc. These organisations will also assist in ensuring a smoother implementation process of the internship.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018T<\/span>he Fair that will take place on 21 November is a great opportunity for <\/span>both<\/span> students and employers to save time and effectively establish useful connections. For employers, it is an opportunity to get to know the higher education institution, its material base, and<\/span> its community and strengthen cooperation. The event provides many added values \u200b\u200b\u2013 each participant comes with their own expectations <\/span>and<\/span> we try to implement or even exceed them, aiming to create a valuable experience for everyone,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>shares A<\/span>. The event organisers aim to provide students and companies with as many opportunities as possible to establish meaningful connections, so this year <\/span>students <\/span>will also be able to participate in the networking fair and discover career opportunities in a virtual space.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018T<\/span>he one-day networking fair allows students to meet company representatives in <\/span>person,<\/span> and<\/span> get a first impression of the organisations and their culture, which often becomes the beginning of a solid foundation for further contacts. Meanwhile, the website, which is open until June, gives students the opportunity to return to internship and job offers at any time convenient for them, review information and contact companies according to individual needs,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>A. \u2018W<\/span>e are also pleased to announce a new collaboration with one of <\/span>the<\/span> largest job posting portals <\/span>in Lithuania<\/span> \u2013 CVbankas.lt.<\/span> Upon agreement with the CVbankas.lt administration, job and internship offers from CVbankas.lt that are specifically relevant to Kauno kolegija HEI students will be available on our website <\/span>www.karjerosdienos.lt<\/span><\/a>. This collaboration will allow students to review even more possible positions, including those offered by companies <\/span>that are<\/span>not participating in the Internship and Career Days event, thus further expanding their career options,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>reveals A. Fair allows you to establish direct contact with a desired employer<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Internship and Career Days Networking Fair is perhaps the fastest way to establish contacts with your desired employer and start a career in a chosen company. The event provides an opportunity to personally communicate with company representatives and hear first-hand about their expectations, selection processes, and professional challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, students can <\/span>gain a clearer understanding of<\/span> which sectors or organisations they are most interested in and where they could meaningfully apply their skills.<\/span> Such experiences not only help prepare for future career opportunities but also allow them to make <\/span>useful<\/span> professional connections and gain practical knowledge that <\/span>is highly valued<\/span> in the labour market.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018D<\/span>uring the Internship and Career Days, students will also be able to get acquainted with various voluntary organisations. It <\/span>is planned<\/span> that this year <\/span>about<\/span> 10<\/span> voluntary organisations will participate in the event, offering different volunteering opportunities. These organisations will invite students to contribute to social projects, event organisation, environmental initiatives or community assistance,<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>says A.
