\"\"<\/a>The international jazz festival \u201cKaunas Jazz\u201d is taking place in Kaunas, which the organisers started with the event \u201cJazz Fashion\u201d. On the stage, located in the shopping and entertainment centre \u201cAkropolis\u201d, models took to the stage, presenting clothing collections designed by students of the Fashion Design study programme of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, Faculty of Arts and Education, dedicated to the memory of Indr\u0117 Ju\u010dait\u0117, the organiser of the festival.<\/p>\n

\u201c27 years ago, while preparing for the 6th<\/sup> \u201cKaunas Jazz\u201d festival, its creator Jonas Ju\u010dus had the idea to shelter young fashion designers under the wing of the festival. And since then, every year, talented young fashion designers have the opportunity to show what they have created. It\u2018s wonderful, because the presentation of the collections takes place on a professional podium, with high-quality music playing, with the help of professional lighting,\u201d says Marina Kolesinskien\u0117, coordinator and choreographer of \u201cJazz Fashion\u201d.<\/p>\n

Until this year, the \u201cJazz Fashion\u201d event took place on an open-air stage. This year, a new space was chosen. The models used the escalators in the shopping and entertainment centre \u201cAkropolis\u201d from the fourth floor to the third floor, where the catwalk was located. The visitors of the shopping centre, who did not know that the \u201cKaunas Jazz\u201d event was taking place here, were satisfied that they unexpectedly had the opportunity to see the interesting collections created by young people and the invited guest \u2013 designer Julija Drem\u0117nien\u0117. The image for the collection models was created by the students of the Image Design study programme of the Faculty of Arts and Education.<\/p>\n

\u201cStudents of the Fashion Design study programme design clothing collections, create unique fabric designs using modern technologies, actively participate in various fashion events, and every year models show their collections successfully on the podium of the \u201cJazz Fashion\u201d event to the rhythm of music,\u201d said Violeta Dobrovolskien\u0117, coordinator of the Image Design study programme.<\/p>\n
