The event popularizing the fashion culture, which has become a tradition, delighted the participants and spectators of \u201cGossips\u201d and this year on May 26th, those interested in fashion trends gathered at the “Sala” restaurant of the \u017dalgiris arena. Young fashion designers from Lithuania and abroad presented their collections at the international fashion show.<\/span><\/p>\n A variety of fashion trends were presented<\/b><\/p>\n At the \u201cGossips 2022\u201d event, 17 clothing collections were presented, revealing the themes of sustainable fashion, the myth of sirens, nature motifs, Lithuanian and Ukrainian symbolism, and values. Fashion lovers were surprised by the works of Ukraine, Latvia and the Czech Republic, the creations of designers Ugn\u0117 Kardelyt\u0117, Raminta Rimgailait\u0117, Milda Grik\u0161ait\u0117-Jankuvien\u0117 and the clothing collections of the students of Vilnius Academy of Arts, Vilnius University of Applied Sciences and Kaunas University of Applied Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n This year, a lot of attention was paid to sustainability – more than one designer, when presenting his idea, based it on naturalness, recycling of used items. It’s not surprising, because in recent years, there has been more and more talk about pollution the fashion industry is creating.<\/span><\/p>\n The organizer of the event, coordinator of the Fashion Design study programme, Stella Justina Kasperavi\u010dien\u0117, reveals that the creative process of preparing the collections takes place by involving students from different study programmes, sharing knowledge and skills with each other. The design works were prepared in cooperation with students of the Image Design study programme of the Faculty of Arts and Education and students of the Cosmetology Department of the Faculty of Medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n
